Zella L. Dyson, age 101, of Concordia, KS., died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Sunset Home.
She was born October 24, 1914 to Sylvester and Hattie (Hose) Woolard at Hollis, KS.
Zella married Keith Dyson July 30, 1932 in Concordia, KS. He preceded her in death March 11, 2004.
She was an independent Avon Salesman for many years and was a volunteer manager of the Gift Shop at the Hospital.
Zella was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Hospital Auxiliary and former member of the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by 5 children:
Gerald (Karen) Dyson – Clay Center, KS
Norman (Marlene) Dyson – Huntington Beach, CA
Jean Shankle – Concordia, KS
Charlene (Dennis) Peltier – Burbank, CA
Carlene Gepner – Burbank, CA
11 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren
Preceded in death by: parents, husband – Keith
Brothers: Lloyd, Dick, Wade, Pete
Sisters: Mae, Wanda, Wilma
Funeral Services will be Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church – Concordia, KS, with Pastor Jeff Nielsen officiating.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.,
with family present 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary.
Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church.
