Virgil Lee Stokesbeary

Virgil Lee Stokesbeary, age 74 of Concordia, Kansas, passed away peacefully at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas on March 8th,2024. He was born in Salina, Kansas at St. John's Hospital on March 24th,1949 to Richard (Ernest) and Bonnie (Dodge) Stokesbeary. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Howard Stokesbeary and is survived by brothers Lloyd and David Stokesbeary and a sister Peggy Ann Stokesbeary. Virgil was a certified forklift operator and worked as a laborer for Gene's Radiator until retirement. He moved to Concordia, Kansas in 201 7 and resided at Cloud Village Apartments. Virgil enjoyed hobbies of tinkering with old vehicles and locksmithing. He loved telling stories and meeting new people as he made friends easily. Virgil chose cremation with Nutter Mortuary, Concordia, Kansas in charge of arrangements. He requested that there not be any services. Burial will be in Hollis cemetery in Hollis, Kansas.
