Shirley A. Ericson, daughter of Claude L. Smith and Frances R. (Johnson) Smith, was born January 7, 1936 in Salina, KS, and passed away on November 3, 2018, at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS at the age of 82 years.

Shirley married Clifford E. Ericson on Oct. 27, 1957 at Salina, Kansas. Shirley was a former Registered Nurse. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clyde Historical Society, Sunshine Ladies Club, E.H.U., Women of the Word, and former member of the Helping Hands Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Frances Smith, her spouse, Clifford E. Ericson and her brother Charles “Butch” Smith.

She is survived by her Sons:  Stanley Ericson & wife Dani –Clifton, KS, John Ericson & girlfriend Dara Anderson- Boise,Idaho, Evert Ericson & wife Danette- Loveland, CO, Daughters: Ruth Owen & Husband LeRoy –Concordia. KS, and Sharon Moravek & Husband Rick – Narka, KS, Grandchildren: Jason Owen, Cody Owen, Keith Ericson, Andrew Ericson, Molly Potuzak, Alex Potuzak, Caleb Ericson, Aleya Ericson, and Emilia Ericson., Sisters: Karen Robinson- Salina, KS, and Mary Cooper & Husband David-Georgetown, SC., and Brother, Thomas Smith- Loveland,CO.

Visitation will be Friday November 9, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary. Memorial Services will be Saturday November 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Palmer, KS with Pastor Tom Sahl officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rural Clyde, KS. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS. Nutter Mortuary, 116 E. 6th St. Concordia, KS 66901 in charge of arrangements.
