Concordia, Phillip Douglas Cohee, Concordia, Kansas, at the age of 97 was born August 3, 1923, to Mace and Kate Cressy Cohee, of rural Lynch NE.  He passed away August 23, 2020 at Concordia, Kansas.  Growing up years was spent in Nebraska, Wisconsin and Missouri.  Phillip served in the US Army during WWII, in NV, Germany, France and England.

On October 8, 1946 he was united in marriage to Lula Mary Raetz of Solomon, Kansas and they homesteaded in the Rupert, Idaho area.  To this union one daughter, Mary Margaret, was born.  His wife Mary passed away the following day of toxemia.  He then married Alice Krauss of Salina, Kansas on February 19, 1951.  They lived in Salina, rural Clyde, Kansas for a year then to rural Paola, Kansas in 1954, farming until retirement.  Following retirement, they lived in Concordia, moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  After Alice’s death, Phillip remained in Lake Havasu until moving to the Henderson/Las Vegas, Nevada area.  In 2006 he moved back to Concordia, Kansas, living next door to /and with daughter Mary and Marvin Florea until his death.

Phillip chose to serve God in his teens, and remained faithful to that choice.  He will be greatly missed in the fellowship meetings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Mary and Alice, sisters Louise and Esther, brother in laws, William Raetz, Royal McFetridge, Ray Williston, Ray Austin, Melvin Lerwick, Harold Spinar, and Bill Cooper.  Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Mary and husband Marvin Florea, grandson Larry and wife Amy Florea of Concordia, Kansas, sister Vivian McFetridge of Hermiston, Oregon, Margaret Lerwick of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Ruth Raetz Cooper of Lincoln, Missouri and Hazel Spinar of Cole Camp, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family has requested only family members plus local Concordia and Belleville friends attend the service in person to allow for social distancing.  Visitation will be August 24, 2020 6 to 8 P.M. at Nutter Mortuary.  Funeral services will be held the next day at 10:30 A.M., at Nutter Mortuary.   Cremation will follow the funeral service and inurnment will be a later date in Rupert, Idaho.
