Orville R. Henderson

Orville Henderson, age 96, of Concordia, Kansas, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Mount Joseph Senior Village.

He was born November 26, 1918, to Elmer and Addie (Chigbrow) Henderson at rural Nelson Center.

He graduated from Concordia High School in 1936.

Orville and Charles "Penny" Hull (brother-in-law) were partners for many years in a farming/stockman operation. He was on the Cloud County Soil Conservation Board; Farmway Co-op Association; a
former member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.

Orville is survived by: Jeanne Henderson of Concordia, Kansas; one son, Robert (Margaret) of Missoula, Montana; one granddaughter Marika (Jon) Sears.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Hazel Lewis, Mildred Huscher and Dorothy Hull; an infant son.

Graveside funeral services will be Monday, December 8, 2014, at Nelson Center Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., Joe Detrixhe officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary Chapel.
