Norma Lee Johnson

Norma Lee Johnson went to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus on April 10th 2020.

Norma died in Colorado Springs at Genesis Health Care facility due to complications from a recent infection.

Norma was born in Concordia, raised, attended school worked at the Bom Marche dress shop and married Chet Johnson from Scandia. In 1959, Chet, Norma and their three kids (Karen, Warren and Jody) moved to Bakersfield California.

Norma and Chet faithfully came back at least once a year to visit her parents, Ted and Hilda Johnston and Chet’s parents Charlie and Agnes Johnson (Scandia) as well as her sister and brother in law, Vera and Bob Stensaas.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Chet and daughter Karen Houle. Norma will be buried next to Chet and Karen at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Norma was a faithful attender of Calvary Bible Church in Bakersfield until she had to move into a senior home. Norma’s favorite pastime over the past few years involved reading the Bible, listening to hymns and remembering memories of family and friends.

Norma is survived by daughter Jody Meadors (husband - Mike) and son Warren (wife -Charlotte), grandchildren: Courtney Tippet, Eric Johnson, Jordan Houle, Chad Johnson and Nick Meadors and six great grandchildren with another one arriving in July.

Interment will be held at 1:00PM on April 17, 2020 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia, KS.

Graveside memorial service is scheduled for June 27, 2020.
