Merelyn "Mac" Mccracken
February 13, 1938 — January 3, 2023
Merelyn “Mac” McCracken passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 3rd in Wichita, KS at the age of 84. He was one of ten children born to ILO and Emma McCracken in Jewell, KS on February 13th, 1938. The McCracken family settled northern KS as pioneers in 1870. Mac, an Army veteran, traveled the world settling in the Midwest where he excelled in professions such as truck driving, and construction work. His true passion was being a long-haul truck driver.
Mac is survived by his brother Jim, his daughter, Marce Mossberg, and son, Mike. Grandchildren include John and Steve Mossberg.
Visitation will be Sunday January 8, 2023 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at Kleppinger Funeral Home, Jewell, KS
Funeral services will be held at the Jewell Christian Church, Jewell, KS at 11:00 a.m. on January 9, 2023 with Pastor Dan Daniels Officiating.
