Kenneth W. Holechek, 90, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS. He was born October 27, 1925 in Narka, KS to Frank and Hazel (Pucket) Holechek.
After serving in the US Army, Kenneth returned to Republic County where he married Bessie Heina on April 18, 1948 in Belleville, KS. They farmed in Republic County for many years and later moved to Concordia, where they owned and operated Ken's TV and Appliance for 35 years. Kenneth was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church as well as the Concordia Lions Club and the American Legion.
Kenneth is survived by two sons; Daryl and wife Jayne of Salina, and Roger of Concordia; three grandchildren; Jami Shirley and husband Tom of Lincoln, KS, Brett Holechek and wife Pam of Concordia, and Morgan Davis and husband Dru of Salina, KS. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren.
Preceding Kenneth in death are his parents; wife Bessie (Heina); step-father Arnold Krisan; daughter-in-law Betty Holechek; and great-grandson Samuel Myers.
Memorials in Kenneth's honor will be to the First Presbyterian Church in Concordia, KS.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, Concordia, at 10:30 am. Visitation will be from 10 am-8 pm, Monday, January 18, at Nutter Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm. Nutter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
