Gwen S. Jasperson, age 77, of Salina, KS., formerly of Concordia, KS., died

Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Salina Regional Health Center.

She was born February 28, 1939 to Charles and Evalyn (Early) Strait in

Concordia, KS.

Gwen married Donald Jasperson on January 31, 1958 in Concordia, KS.

He preceded her in death April 10, 2011. To this union two children were

born: a son - Randall Dewaine and daughter- Carrie Ann.

She worked at Southwestern Bell for 38 years as the Business Office Manager.

Gwen was a member of: Belmont Christian Church; Southwestern Bell

Pioneer Group and the VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by: parents, husband, brothers: Howard & James.

Sisters: Helen Plumly, Ruth Moore, Buena Reed, Alberta Lanoue, Yvonne Snyder, and Fern Clark.

Gwen is survived by: son - Randall and wife Debra - Newton, KS,

Daughter - Carrie Ann Laflin and husband Todd - Lebo, KS.

Brothers: Jack (Pauline); Bob (Betty); William D. (Karen)

Sisters: Phyllis (Henry) Koster & Patty (Paul) Smith,

Sister-in-law: Eva Strait,

Grandchildren: Ryan Jasperson (Megan); Stacy (Jasperson) Herwig & Husband Chris; Megan Heckathorn and husband Dustin; Aaron (Megan) Laflin; Morgan (Christiani) Derek;

and Adam Laflin.

9 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held in Salina at the Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, 2508 Belmont on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. in Concordia, KS.

Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary Chapel; and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
