Charles "Chuck" Dutton

Charles "Chuck" Dutton, age 67, of Concordia, Kan., died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at Salina Regional Health Center, with his two children—Jason and Lacey and beloved lifelong friend Joyce by his side. Chuck struggled with a debilitating illness and has moved on to a more peaceful life—free of pain and suffering.
He was born Nov. 12, 1948, in Concordia, Kan., to Charles "Pat" and Alberta (Holmes) Dutton. Chuck was the  eldest of three boys. Upon graduating from Concordia High School in 1966 he moved to Wichita and worked in construction. He then returned to Concordia to work on the family farm where he met and married Joyce Metro. Together they had three children: Jason, Lacey and Lydia (deceased shortly after birth).
He is survived by: son, Jason Dutton of Oklahoma City, Okla; daughter, Lacey Dutton of Concordia, Kan.; brothers: Craig (Linda) of Omaha, Neb.,and Brad of Concordia, Kan.; nieces, Leigh (Jon) Schleifer of Omaha, Neb., and Brooke Dutton of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren: Jaxon and Ashton Dutton of Oklahoma City, Okla.; lifelong friend, Joyce Dutton.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2016, at 11 a.m., at Nutter Mortuary Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2016, from 1-8 p.m. at the Mortuary.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be given to The Arthritis Foundation.
