Betty L. Ramsey

Betty L. Ramsey, age 76, of Concordia, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Salina Regional Health Center.
Betty was born July 29, 1935 to Robert and Bessie (James) Wolfgang in Beattie, Kansas.  She married Norman Ramsey on August 9, 1958.  He passed her in death March 23, 2006.
Betty wore many hats in her lifetime:  waitress, bus driver, clerk at F&A Retail Store, farmer, MOM.  She was a booster member at CCCC and a member to Trinity United Methodist Church, but she was most known for her soft heart for animals (she named every cow and always cried on sale barn days plus took in any stray she could find) and her rabid support for the University of Kansas.  Nothing pleased her more than teasing Norman when KU beat K-State.
She is survived by her children:  Robert (Bob) & Johnny Ramsey – Concordia, KS; Kevin (Michelle) Ramsey – Olathe, KS; Judea Ramsey & partner – Wendy White – N. Kansas City, MO; Kimberly (David) Hancock, IA; 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband Norman; parents; son Terry and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church – Family will receive friend from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Inurement will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to:  O’Connor Animal Shelter or Norman R. Ramsey Endowment at CCCC.
