Betty Jean Collins, age 93, of Beloit, KS., formerly from Randall/Jamestown area, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at The Residence Care Center in Beloit, KS. She was born August 8, 1923 to

Edward and Mary (Roberts) Neuway at Burrton, KS.

Betty married Robert L. Collins on June 22, 1946. To this union four sons were born: Terry, Gary, Craig, and Mark. Betty and bob celebrated 64 years together before Bob’s passing in 2010.

Betty was a busy farm wife, seamstress, mother of 4 boys and always involved in the community: HDU, election boards and county extension-executive boards were just a few of her many activities outside of the home.

She was a “Gold Star Mother”.

Betty is survived by 3 sons: Terry (Trudy) - Beloit KS, Craig - Topeka KS, Mark (Kathy) - Topeka, KS, 2 brothers: Keith and Ronald Neuway, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.

Preceded her in death: Husband Bod; Son Gary Dean; parents; 2 brothers, 1 sister

A Memorial Service will be held Monday 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 E. Main, Beloit, KS., with Beverly James officiating. Private inurnment later at the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, KS. Memorials may be given to the “Beloit Senior Center”.
