Anthony L Smith passed away suddenly and tragically, Sunday February 20, 2022, at the Cloud County Health Center. He was born December 4, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona, The son of Ronald and Jodi Bergstrom. Following high school Anthony moved to Concordia, Kansas and began his career at the Cloud County Highway Department. Following that he joined Dwas Trucking Company where he drove cross country. He then joined Swafford Farms, where he farmed fields and worked on farming equipment. He married his wife Serra Smith in October 2018. They had two beautiful children together. On the weekends you would find him spending time with family, working on cars, or at the dirt track. Anthony loved to spend time working on the racecars with his dad, brother, and uncle. But he was never happier when he was in that car working towards that win. He was preceded in death by Richard Bergrstom (uncle), Swede Bergstrom (Grandfather), and Ray Von Cyr (Grandfather).
Survivors include his parents; Jodi and Ronald Bergstrom, wife Serra Smith, son Anthony Smith Jr, daughter Vivian Smith, all of Concordia, KS, Grandparents Diane & Max Mann of Kansas City Mo, Doris Bergstrom of Gardner Ks. Brother Christopher Miller (Miranda) of Aurora Ks. Sister Casie Miller, Brothers Matthew (Kelley) Bergstrom, Luke Bergstrom (Elena) of Kansas City Mo; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday February 24 with the family present from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Nutter Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday February 25 at Nutter Mortuary with Pastor Randy Whitley and Chaplain Levi Whitley officiating.
Following the service, all are welcome to take part in Anthony’s final lap around the track at the Concordia Raceway.
Reception will be held at Broken Arrow Saloon, Aurora Kansas at 1:00pm.
